Parker Hannifin's Parker Aerospace team in Kalamazoo is seeking a seasoned purchasing leader to direct the Division's procurement of raw materials, castings, forgings, and machined components, embracing lean enterprise practices and on-site attendance.

The role focuses on supplier selection, cost reduction, and building a resilient supply base, with emphasis on continuous improvement, strategic sourcing, and leadership of a talented procurement team.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or materials management is required.
• Strong negotiation and supplier-management experience.
• Understanding of aerospace machining and raw materials markets.
• Analytical and technical skills; knowledge of cost accounting.
• Advanced computer skills and ability to work with electronic processing.

Responsabilidades

• Plans and direct the activities of the Division's purchases of materials, castings, forgings, standard hardware, and machined components.
• Establishes supplier selection criteria based on price, quality, delivery and compliance with governmental procurement regulations.
• Interviews, selects and negotiates with suppliers; ensures local vs group suppliers.
• Works with suppliers to develop continuous improvement programs.
• Develops re-order procedures and contingency programs.
• Develops and benchmarks best practices among Division suppliers.
• Drives strategies to grow margin through deflation.
• Reviews purchase price indexes for variances.
• Develops and hires top talent for the department.
