Daikin Applied, the world's largest HVAC company, seeks a Strategic Sourcing Manager III to lead direct-material categories globally. You will build strategic supplier relationships, drive supply continuity, and negotiate major contracts while targeting quality, on-time delivery, and year-over-year savings.

The role is hybrid from Plymouth, MN with visa not sponsored and a strong emphasis on CSR and green initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years of sourcing/procurement experience.
• 8+ years people leadership experience.
• Experience with domestic and international sourcing and supplier management.
• Experience creating and implementing category strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong relationship-management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute category strategies to mitigate supply risk and support growth.
• Assess multi-tiered supply chain risk and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop strategic supplier relationships and OEM partners.
• Understand supplier cost structures and market dynamics for best value discussions.
• Negotiate Master Supply Agreements and other contracts within budgetary limits.
• Lead negotiations when delivery or quality issues arise.
• Collaborate with suppliers for price, availability, capacity, lead times, and delivery schedules.
• Drive cost-reduction and productivity initiatives and dual sourcing strategies.

This role is responsible for developing strategic supplier relationships, ensuring supply continuity in support of Daikin Applied’s growth plans, ensuring premier quality and on time delivery, driving ongoing competitive costs, identifying new and differentiable technologies, and enabling new product development.
