Operating with broad strategic direction, this role will represent the digital organization in enterprise M&A discussions, working closely with the Corporate Development and business teams. This role will collaborate with digital senior leadership, majority owned representatives, and business leaders to advance the Company’s growth agenda and ensure successful assessment and execution of new opportunities.Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!Location: Hybrid - Plymouth, MNYour Responsibilities:Lead Digital Due Diligence – Lead the Digital organizations diligence work assessing target digital environments (e.g., infrastructure, security, data, and applications)Synthesize Findings and Recommendations – Coordinate cross-functional input (security, infrastructure, finance, HR, etc.), develop cost and risk assessments, and present concise diligence insights and integration/separation hypotheses to senior leadershipLead Post-Close Activities – Build and execute Digital’s integration and separation plans from close through scope completion, ensuring seamless alignment across infrastructure, applications, security, business systems, etcPartner with Daikin and target businesses, functional organizations (e.g., sales, service, manufacturing, finance, HR), cross-functional groups, and other stakeholders throughout the M&A process to successfully accomplish the business objectivesMeasure and Realize Value – Track digital synergies and performance metrics post-close to confirm value realization and continuous improvement against Corporate and Digital KPIsDevelop the Digital M&A Playbook – Create standardized methodologies, templates, and repeatable processes to enhance deal consistency, speed, and effectivenessInstitutionalize Best Practices – Capture lessons learned from due diligence, integrations, separations, and investments to continuously refine governance, tools, and execution approachesYour Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field8 years of related experience working on M&A projects at an organization or consulting firmExperience working in an IT organization, ideally with multiple functional areas (e.g., infrastructure, applications, program management)Program management experience, and experience working on multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience and comfort with uncertainty and the ability to define assumptions to draft plans and estimatesDemonstrated experience executing due diligence, integration and separation planning, and execution across all aspects of digital work streams (e.g., infrastructure, security, data, applications (CRM, ERP, etc.)), and business processesStrong business process and strategic analysis skillsExcellent communication, presentation, cross-functional collaboration abilities with digital and business leadersProven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence senior leaders across functionsYour Preferred Qualifications:MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Technology Management, or related fieldBroad understanding and experience with digital work streams (infrastructure, security, analytics, applications (CRM, ERP, etc.)), and business processes (OTC, MES, etc.)Experience integrating and separating infrastructure, security, data and application platformsExperience in industrial, HVAC, or manufacturing sectorsNatural translator between business and technology leaders — equally comfortable in executive boardrooms and technical reviewsCreative team player with excellent relationship management skills and a focus on business resultsExperience in strategy developmentYour Benefits:Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance401K retirement plan with employer matchPaid time off and company paid holidaysPaid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local lawTuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous serviceWork visa sponsorship is not available for this positionThe typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,800 - $171,700 plus a 15% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which these positions fall.
