Job summary

F5 Networks, Inc. is seeking a strategic sourcing leader to own end-to-end procurement for network hardware powering our global PoP and data center expansion.

You will partner with Capacity Engineering to ensure availability, manage vendor relationships, and negotiate agreements that align with capacity and budget plans. This cross-functional role reports to Infrastructure Capacity Engineering and drives supplier accountability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or contract management, focused on data center or network infrastructure.
• Proven track record negotiating contracts with OEMs and global suppliers.
• Fluent in evaluating vendor proposals and partnering credibly with engineering.
• Strong analytical skills focused on cost optimization and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end sourcing strategy and execution for network hardware across PoP and data centers.
• Negotiate and manage contracts and MSAs with OEMs, ODMs, and suppliers.
• Identify supply risks and build optionality across hardware portfolio.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, legal, finance, and procurement.
• Develop competitive commercial strategies for capacity expansion and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to vendor evaluation and selection with technical/commercial input.
• Track progress, risks, and milestones for Capacity Engineering leadership.
• Maintain supplier scorecards, contract trackers, and delivery timelines.
