Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Technical Sourcing Manager for Network Hardware in Austin, TX. You will lead procurement for routers, switches, and interconnects, drive TCO targets, and collaborate with hardware engineering to evaluate new technologies.

This role bridges procurement and deployment across Cloudflare's global data center footprint. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in networking hardware, strong negotiating and program management skills, and solid AI tool awareness to optimize supplier

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience working with networking equipment OEMs.
• Direct experience executing complex datacenter infrastructure projects.
• Deep understanding of the commercial benefits of hardware technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• AI-native curiosity with ability to use AI tools to optimize workflows.
• Engineering or analytical background to support TCO modeling.
• Master's in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• Familiarity with AI/ML hardware such as GPUs.
• Program management across large cross-functional teams.
• Experience with DCIM tools and basic program management software like JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing: Own procurement across network hardware (routers, switches, interconnects).
• Vendor Negotiation: Lead long-term TCO targets and multi-party negotiations.
• Supplier Quality: Oversee delivery terms of network maintenance and contracts.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Introduce evaluation processes (RFX, QBR) with hardware engineering.
• Deployment Oversight: Coordinate global installations with deployment schedules.
• Process Optimization: Identify automation opportunities and standardize deployment processes across regions.
