Job summary

FIS is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to drive complex transport initiatives across Layer 1–3, including optical wavelength services and 100G backbone design for global connectivity. You will collaborate with Data and Voice Engineering, Infrastructure Architecture, Product and Project Management, Information Security, and Supply Chain to scope, plan, and implement large-scale network programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in network provisioning or circuit engineering leadership.
• 5+ years in Network Engineering with telecom carrier exposure.
• Experience with modern transport tech including Ethernet, optical wavelengths, backbone connectivity.
• Proficient with MS Office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Word.
• Experience with Ethernet transport services and route visualization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Network Circuit Engineering team through design, ordering, provisioning and delivery.
• Provide technical leadership for large-scale transport initiatives with Layer 1–3 diversity.
• Design and support high-capacity optical services and 100G wavelengths for US/global backbone.
• Support SD-WAN, hybrid WAN, MPLS, and secure cloud connectivity.
• Own carrier escalations, vendor strategy, and cost optimization efforts.
