Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain: Procurement & Sourcing to lead sourcing initiatives for complex private equity engagements. You will design and implement creative procurement solutions, collaborating with PE teams to drive portfolio value through end-to-end strategies, supplier negotiations, and data-driven analysis.

The role requires extensive experience in sourcing, strong analytics, and the ability to travel up to 80% to client sites across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined consulting and/or industry operating experience.
• Preference for industry roles within Sourcing and Procurement functions.
• Advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm or Big-4 desirable.
• Experience with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies.
• Deep direct materials industry expertise (steel, resin, chemicals, packaging, etc.).
• Track record of leading sustainable high-impact strategic sourcing approaches.
• End-to-end procurement strategy design experience.
• Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills including process mapping.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver project work streams for complex client engagements in private equity focusing on procurement and supply-chain improvement.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, and logistics.
• Develop and manage sourcing and procurement efforts and lead supplier identification, negotiations, and vendor relations.
• Create implementation plans to drive changes in procurement and sourcing initiatives.
• Perform analyses and lead teams on project scope-based analytical tasks.
