Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement is seeking a Senior Associate, Supply Chain: Procurement & Sourcing. This role supports PE-backed portfolios across the U.S., leading procurement initiatives and strategic sourcing with private equity teams.

You will drive supplier selection, contract negotiations, and implementation plans, leveraging strong analytics, Excel/PowerPoint, and structured project management. Travel up to 80% may be required.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of consulting or industry experience.
• Top-tier strategy firm or Big-4 advisory experience required.
• Preference for roles within sourcing and procurement functions.
• Industry experience in direct and/or indirect categories.
• MBA preferred.
• Experience leading sustainable, high‑impact strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Design of end‑to‑end procurement strategies.
• Excellent fact‑gathering and analytical skills including process mapping.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver project work streams, collaborating with private equity teams to design and implement procurement solutions.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with growth and financial goals, integrating forecasting, demand/supply planning, inventory management, and distribution & logistics.
• Lead supplier identification, contract and pricing negotiations, and vendor relations.
• Develop implementation plans to drive procurement and sourcing initiatives.
• Conduct analysis as required by project scope.
