Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain: Procurement & Sourcing to lead complex client engagements in private equity, focusing on procurement and supply-chain improvement.

You will design and implement creative sourcing strategies, work with PE teams to drive value across portfolio companies, and lead sourcing initiatives across multiple client engagements. Travel up to 80% may be required; the position is open to all U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to understand client procurement organizations and sourcing capabilities.
• Experience designing end-to-end procurement strategies and transformation programs.
• Strong analytical skills including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
• Experience with private equity-sponsored portfolio companies is highly desirable.
• Travel up to 80% of the time is required.

Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of a client’s procurement organization and strategic sourcing capabilities.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with growth and financial objectives.
• Develop and manage sourcing and procurement efforts.
• Lead supplier identification, approval, contract/pricing negotiations, and vendor relations.
• Develop implementation plans to drive procurement and sourcing changes.
• Perform analyses and lead teams on project scope-specific analyses.
