Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Manager, Supply Chain: Procurement & Sourcing to lead client engagements in private equity, focusing on procurement and supply-chain improvement. You will design and implement creative solutions that drive value for portfolio companies.

The role involves developing sourcing strategies, leading supplier negotiations, and coordinating forecasting, demand planning, and logistics across engagements. Travel up to 80% is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined consulting and/or industry operating experience.
• Experience in sourcing/procurement leadership in PE or portfolio companies.
• Deep direct materials industry knowledge (steel, chemicals, packaging, etc.).
• Experience with end-to-end procurement strategy design.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of a client’s procurement organization and sourcing capabilities.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with growth and financial goals.
• Develop and manage sourcing and procurement efforts.
• Lead supplier identification, negotiations, and vendor relations.
• Develop implementation plans to drive procurement changes.
• Perform analyses and/or lead teams on project scope.
