Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking a Sourcing/Commodity Manager to lead procurement for raw materials, supplies, and equipment. You will drive supplier selection, negotiation, and continuous improvement programs to optimize cost, quality, and delivery for production needs.

You will supervise Sourcing Specialists and Buyers, develop re-order procedures, and ensure alignment with division strategies and budgets. This role emphasizes lean processes and strategic supplier partnerships in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in technical or business field with four+ years of related procurement experience.
• Experience selecting and negotiating with suppliers.
• Knowledge of lean enterprise principles in purchasing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage division purchases of raw materials, supplies, equipment or services.
• Establish supplier selection criteria based on price, quality and delivery.
• Negotiate with suppliers and ensure preferred supplier use.
• Drive continuous improvement programs with suppliers.
• Develop automated re-order procedures and contingency plans.
• Benchmark supplier performance and maintain records for evaluation.
• Ensure purchases and capex align with division strategies and budgets.
