Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Mocksville, NC is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager for New Product Development to lead the NPD and i2V sourcing initiatives from concept through launch.

You will develop and coach a team of sourcing professionals, collaborate with engineering, product management, and operations, and drive cost, quality, and supply assurance across a global supplier base. Travel minimal between Mocksville and Davidson sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in sourcing, supply chain, engineering, operations, or project leadership.
• 3+ years of people leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience, including coaching and development.
• 3+ years coordinating sourcing with engineering and project management through structured processes.
• 3+ years evaluating supplier quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, and managing supplier development.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing strategy for NPD and I2V initiatives from early concept through launch.
• Lead supplier selection, sourcing decisions, RFPs/RFQs, and negotiations.
• Own cost models and project cost tracking, driving cost reduction and value improvement.
• Establish governance, reporting cadence, and performance measures for sourcing milestones.
• Identify and address risks, gaps, and supplier recoveries to protect launches.
• Partner with engineering, product management, operations, and finance to maximize value.
