Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Mocksville, NC seeks a Strategic Sourcing Manager for New Product Development to lead sourcing strategy, supplier selection, and cost management from concept through launch.

You will partner with engineering, product management, operations, and finance to shape supplier strategies, drive savings, and ensure supply readiness while developing talent in a high‑mix, low‑volume industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in sourcing or related fields.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.
• 3+ years coordinating sourcing deliverables with engineering/project management.
• 3+ years evaluating supplier quotations and negotiating terms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience with pivot tables/macros.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing strategy for NPD and I2V initiatives from concept through launch and stabilization.
• Lead, coach, and develop sourcing professionals across NPD, value engineering, localization, supplier transitions, and productivity projects.
• Oversee supplier selection, SOWs/RFPs/RFQs, and negotiations balancing cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
• Own sourcing cost models, business case inputs, and project cost tracking including legacy-to-new product comparisons.
• Establish standard work, cadence, and metrics for visibility into milestones, savings, and launch readiness.
• Identify gaps and lead cross-functional countermeasures addressing cost, capacity, and quality issues.
• Build relationships with engineering, product management, operations, quality, finance, and suppliers to maximize value.
• Lead or participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
