Job summary

IMC Trading in Chicago seeks a Senior Sourcing Lead to own global storage and SaaS procurement. You will drive category strategy, negotiate high-value agreements, and govern software spend with FinOps discipline, partnering with engineering and finance to optimize cost and value.

This role reports to the Global Strategic Sourcing Lead and manages a broad vendor portfolio of 70+ vendors, including AI tools and developer tooling, with a focus on licensing models and renewals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of strategic sourcing experience spanning storage and software categories.
• Proven SaaS renewals, license optimization, and vendor consolidation experience.
• Familiarity with AI software pricing models (token/usage-based, committed spend).
• Experience leading technical POCs and vendor evaluations with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the global storage category strategy: software-defined storage platforms and related services across storage tiers.
• Own and execute the global SaaS category strategy: manage renewals, license optimization, vendor consolidation, and AI software vendors.
• Lead negotiations for high-value storage and enterprise SaaS agreements with favorable terms and risk mitigation.
• Drive FinOps-style governance over consumption-based software spend, ensuring commitments and usage align with renewals.
• Build and strengthen vendor relationships with storage providers, media manufacturers, SaaS and AI software vendors.
• Collaborate with storage engineering, infrastructure, information security, and finance on architecture, capacity planning, risk and business cases.
• Monitor market trends to identify savings and risk early.
• Provide coaching to sourcing managers and buyers on category execution.
• Represent Procurement to engineering and business leadership on storage and software investments.
