Job summary

Phenomenex, a leading global technology company in life sciences, seeks a Sourcing Manager to drive chemical and contract manufacturing sourcing strategy. You will lead negotiations, manage stakeholders, and implement cost improvements across the supply chain from Torrance, CA.

This is a remote role with travel of 10–20% as needed. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in life sciences sourcing, strong RFI/RFP experience, and a track record in cost reduction and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or Logistics.
• Minimum 5 years in Sourcing in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical or CHEMICAL sourcing.
• Experience with managing RFI/RFP workflow through to supplier award and contract negotiation.
• Knowledge of cost drivers and ability to apply within negotiations.
• Willingness to travel 10-20% for role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and execution of Chemicals and Contract Manufacturing sourcing strategy from RFI/RFP to award.
• Lead supplier negotiations and global stakeholder management.
• Lead cost and service improvement initiatives with sourcing teams.
• Identify and mitigate supply risk and ensure continuity.
• Manage supplier transitions and cost-reduction initiatives.
