Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to drive category and supplier spend management for general services and Market Data Services. You will report to a Sourcing Category Leader and lead competitive bids, negotiations, and contracting to meet business requirements.

The role requires collaboration with regional teams and internal stakeholders to design processes, evaluate options, and ensure policy compliance while identifying value opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required with experience in the financial services industry a plus.
• 7+ years of professional services sourcing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal stakeholders to define requirements.
• Identify qualified suppliers.
• Design and execute the competitive process.
• Evaluate competitive offerings from suppliers and present sourcing options.
• Conduct commercial term negotiations.
• Implement and govern buying channels.
• Partner with regional sourcing colleagues and internal teams (Procurement Operations, Third Party Risk, Contract Management, Legal, Risk and Finance).
• Maintain compliance with all policy and procedural guidelines.
• Identify new opportunities that address client needs and drive value.
