Job summary

State Street is seeking a Market Data Sourcing and Category Strategy Head (Managing Director) to lead a global team responsible for crafting and executing the Market Data strategy, negotiating contracts, and optimizing cost across the organization. You will partner with businesses, legal and risk teams to meet needs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive procurement excellence.

This role reports to the Global Head of Market Data and offers exposure across a multinational financial services

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s or Law degree a plus.
• 10+ years of experience leading global teams in sourcing and category strategy.
• Proven ability to review, negotiate and draft market data contracts.
• Strong integrity, strategic thinking and decision-making in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead Market Data category strategy including pricing, data, terminals and research.
• Develop vendor strategy and preferred vendor list balancing capabilities and cost.
• Partner with Businesses and Corporate Areas to align data needs and strategy.
• Analyze spend, find cost reductions and optimize IT consumption.
• Negotiate and draft market data contracts with legal and business teams.
