Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Sourcing Specialist (Starship) to lead strategic sourcing for capital and construction projects at Starbase, TX. You will develop supplier partnerships, draft and negotiate contracts, and manage cost-reduction programs while coordinating with internal stakeholders.

The role requires strong negotiation, budgeting, scheduling, and analytical skills, with up to 50% travel and a fully onsite work environment at Starbase, TX. Advanced degree or relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or bachelor’s with experience in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, materials or production planning, operations or supply chain management, or cost control.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and cost reduction initiatives is preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and vendor-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement sourcing and cost-management strategies for capital and construction projects.
• Build strategic sourcing models and supplier relationships to reduce costs and improve delivery performance.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage capital and construction contracts from RFP to completion.
• Monitor supplier performance against contract terms and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead project controls such as budgeting and scheduling, and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Develop KPIs for supplier performance and manage the procurement pipeline across categories.
• Perform market research, benchmarking, and supplier onboarding for dynamic program needs.
• Ensure timely payment and resolve blocked invoices; streamline transaction volumes.
