Job summary

Healthfirst is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to drive enterprise sourcing initiatives across multiple spend categories. You will manage RFx events, supplier engagement, proposal analysis, and documentation within the Procurement Operations Hub, partnering with Category Management, Legal, Finance, Compliance, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, category management, or related procurement disciplines.
Experience administering competitive sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
Strong analytical and commercial skills.
Strong project coordination, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise procurement or sourcing technologies.
Must be able to adhere to a hybrid work schedule with in-office presence at 100 Church Street, NYC on Tue/Wed/Thu.

Responsibilities

Lead the operational execution of competitive sourcing initiatives across enterprise procurement categories, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and supplier evaluations.
Translate category and sourcing strategies into structured plans, timelines, supplier communications, evaluation frameworks, and documentation.
Manage sourcing events from launch through evaluation and award with fairness, transparency, and governance.
Coordinate supplier questions, proposals, presentations, and evaluation activities across the lifecycle.
Partner with Category Managers to ensure alignment with objectives, strategy, risk requirements, and business outcomes.
Analyze supplier proposals, pricing submissions, terms, and service models to support objective selection decisions.
Develop bid comparison models, total cost analyses, pricing summaries, and scenario comparisons.
Collaborate to identify commercial risks, negotiation opportunities, and value levers.
Prepare sourcing recommendations and analyses for leadership review per governance.
Coordinate due diligence and risk inputs with enterprise stakeholders before award.
Conduct supplier market research, develop profiles, market scans, and benchmarking inputs.
