Job summary

Midwest Washing Equipment - USA seeks an experienced Inventory & Purchasing Specialist in Indiana to manage stock levels, procurement, and supplier performance. You will build and release purchase orders, negotiate terms, and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

The role requires ERP/MRP experience, strong Excel skills, and a hands-on approach to drive cost savings while maintaining optimal inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, supply chain, purchasing, or related field preferred.
• Experience in inventory management, purchasing, warehouse operations, or a related role is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Balance daily stock levels to ensure materials and products are available when needed.
• Track consumption trends, reorder points, and upcoming demand to maintain right inventory.
• Create and release timely purchase orders aligned to company requirements.
• Source products by comparing pricing and supplier availability; evaluate potential vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms to optimize value.
• Validate accuracy of purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents; monitor orders from placement to delivery.
• Coordinate with receiving and warehouse teams to ensure correct deliveries and resolve discrepancies.
• Lead cycle counts and support physical inventories; maintain accurate inventory records in systems.
• Identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete inventory and recommend actions.
• Monitor inventory-related costs and pursue cost-saving opportunities.
