Job summary

Midwest Retail Services is seeking an Inventory Planning & Procurement Analyst to convert sales forecasts into actionable purchasing and inventory plans, focusing on fixture inventory, lead times, and import coordination.

You will work with Supply Chain, Sales and Operations to maintain service levels and optimize stock turns. Requires a bachelor's in supply chain and 2–4 years in purchasing or forecasting; proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Business Central.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• 2-4 years experience in purchasing, inventory planning or demand forecasting.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Business Central.
• Excellent communication and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Translate sales forecasts and demand trends into purchase and inventory plans.
• Maintain targeted inventory days-on-hand (DOH) by product and vendor.
• Execute purchasing for key vendors, managing lead times, standard cost, pricing and supplier performance.
• Monitor product velocity, seasonality, and demand shifts to optimise stocking strategies.
• Partner with Sales and Warehouse teams to align purchasing with customer projects.
• Track and report on key metrics such as fill rates, stock turns, and forecast accuracy.
