Job summary

Anduril Industries in Massachusetts seeks a Senior Sourcing Engineer to own supplier relationships end to end, from sourcing to ramp readiness. You will collaborate with engineering to influence designs for manufacturability and manage risk across critical optics and related components.

The role requires deep experience with infrared optics materials, cost modeling, and long-term supply commitments. Travel and eligibility for U.S. secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years across sourcing engineering, commodity management, or related roles.
• Experience owning supplier relationships with technical and commercial aspects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Willingness to travel 10–25% for vendor on-site visits.
• Eligible to access export-controlled technical data and obtain a U.S. secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own suppliers end to end: identify sources, run RFQs, drive buy decisions, and manage relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, capacity commitments, lead times, payments, warranties, and service terms.
• Develop should-cost and clean-sheet models and drive total cost of ownership.
• Secure capacity ahead of ramp and map supply network lead times.
• Engage engineering early to provide DFM feedback based on supply intelligence.
• De-risk BOM with alternates, second sources, and obsolescence management.
• Escalate blockers and drive supplier issues to closure with leadership involvement.
• Incorporate origin, domestic content, export controls, and rated orders into sourcing decisions.
• Complete supplier qualification and coordinate with Supplier Quality Organization.
