Job summary

Anduril Imaging seeks a Senior Sourcing Engineer to own supplier relationships end to end, from identifying sources to standing up capacity and managing ramp. The role requires deep knowledge of infrared optics, Germanium materials, and related fabrication processes.

The candidate will model costs, negotiate long-term agreements, and ensure supply chain resilience while coordinating with engineering to align design with supply realities. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in sourcing engineering, commodity management, or related roles.
• Experience owning supplier relationships with technical and commercial aspects.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and CAD models/assemblies.
• Willingness to travel 10–25% for vendor visits.
• Eligible to access export-controlled data.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own suppliers end to end: identify sources, RFQs, and commercial/technical ownership.
• Negotiate pricing, capacity, terms, and long-term agreements.
• Build should-cost and cost breakdown models for quotes.
• Secure capacity ahead of ramp by mapping lead times and coverage.
• Engage engineering for design-for-manufacturability feedback using supply intel.
• De-risk BOM by qualification of alternates and alternatives.
• Escalate blockers and drive issues to resolution, including executive escalation.
• Ensure compliance with origin, export controls, and rating requirements.
• Complete supplier qualification with the Supplier Quality Organization.
