Job summary

Anduril Industries, Inc. is seeking a Senior Sourcing Engineer for Optics and Infrared Materials in Waltham, MA. You will own supplier relationships from source to ramp, negotiating terms, building cost models, and ensuring supply readiness for high-precision optics and infrared materials.

You’ll work with the team to forecast demand, assess risk, and drive compliance with export controls and defense regulations while focusing on long-term supplier partnerships and rate production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years across sourcing engineering, commodity management, supplier development, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, or cost engineering.
• Experience owning supplier relationships including technical assessment and negotiation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Own suppliers end to end: identify sources, issue RFQs, drive make/buy decisions, manage relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, capacity, lead times, payment terms, and service levels; push for long-term agreements.
• Develop should-cost and clean-sheet models and drive total cost of ownership.
• Secure capacity ahead of ramp by mapping lead times and coverage.
• Provide design-for-manufacturability feedback using supply intelligence.
• Complete supplier qualification and manage risk and obsolescence.
• Escalate blockers and participate in program reviews and executive forums.
• Ensure compliance with origin, export controls, and defense regulations.
• Coordinate with Quality org for supplier qualification and approvals.
