Job summary

You will drive sourcing, negotiate agreements, model should-cost, and secure capacity across programs. In this role you’ll partner with engineering and production teams, influence design for manufacturability, manage supplier risk, and ensure compliance with export controls and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in sourcing engineering, commodity management, supplier development, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, or cost engineering.
• Experience owning supplier relationships including technical assessment and negotiation.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Willingness to travel 10-25% for vendor on-site visits.
• Eligible to access export-controlled data and obtain a U.S. secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own suppliers end to end from source to ramp and lifecycle management.
• Negotiate pricing, capacity commitments, lead times, payment terms, warranty, and service terms.
• Develop should-cost models and total cost of ownership analyses; reconcile BOM costs.
• Secure capacity ahead of ramp and map supply network lead times to prevent schedule gaps.
• Engage engineering early to influence design for manufacturability using supply intelligence.
• De-risk BOM through alternates, second sources, and obsolescence planning.
• Escalate supply blockers and coordinate cross-functional resolution with leadership as needed.
• Ensure compliance with origin, export controls, and regulatory requirements in supplier selection and PO structure.
• Coordinate supplier qualification with QA and supplier quality teams.
