Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Commodity Manager for its imaging and defense technology teams. You will own supplier relationships from sourcing to ramp, negotiate terms, and build cost models to drive total cost of ownership across programs.

You’ll work with engineering to influence designs based on supply availability, manage BOM risks, and secure capacity while navigating export controls and security clearances across a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, supply chain, or related technical field.
• 8+ years across sourcing engineering, commodity management, supplier development, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, or cost engineering.
• Experience owning supplier relationships including technical assessment and commercial negotiation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models/assemblies.
• Willingness to travel 10–25% for on-site visits.
• Eligible to access export-controlled data under U.S. export control law.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own suppliers end to end: identify sources, run RFQs, drive make-buy decisions, manage relationships across programs.
• Negotiate pricing, capacity, lead times, payment terms, warranties, and service terms; pursue long-term capacity agreements.
• Build should-cost and clean-sheet models; perform cost-breakdown analysis on quotes; drive total cost of ownership.
• Secure capacity ahead of ramp by mapping lead times and reserving supply; address gaps before they affect schedules.
• Engage engineering early: provide DFM feedback and influence specs using supply intelligence.
• De-risk the BOM: assess risks, qualify alternates and second sources, manage obsolescence.
• Escalate blockers; participate in reviews; resolve shortages and drive issues to closure.
• Ensure compliance in supplier selection and PO structure considering origin, domestic content, export controls, and regulations.
• Complete supplier qualification with the Supplier Quality Organization.
