Emerson Electric Co. is seeking a Director of Sourcing to lead the sourcing function for the Professional Tools business.

You will drive sourcing excellence, supplier performance, cost optimization, and supply chain innovation across direct and indirect categories, reporting to the Vice President of Sourcing and Procurement. You will develop strategies, lead a high-performing team, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to align initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• 8+ years of supply chain experience.
• Proven people leadership or management experience.
• Experience negotiating and drafting contracts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Strong business analysis capabilities to develop and implement sourcing strategies.
• In-depth knowledge of major commodity categories and sourcing best practices.
• Demonstrated success negotiating supplier agreements and delivering value through strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret and leverage data for strategy and negotiations.
• Proven leadership to drive cross-functional teams in a global environment.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies across direct and indirect categories that drive value, efficiency, risk mitigation, and cost optimization.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sourcing team with a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Partner with operations, engineering, legal, finance, marketing, and product development to align sourcing with objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through digital solutions, automation, Lean, and market intelligence.
• Oversee sourcing project prioritization, governance, performance metrics, and reporting.
• Support new product development by engaging preferred suppliers early to ensure quality, innovation, and supply continuity.
