Job summary

Emerson in Boulder, Colorado seeks a Commodity Manager to lead sourcing strategies, optimize costs, and strengthen supplier partnerships across industrial components. You will support RFQ/RFP processes, negotiate terms, and collaborate with engineering and operations to enable new product introductions with DFMs.

Qualifications

5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or commodity management.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with mechanical components in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
Exposure to supplier negotiations, RFQ processes, or contract management.
Strong analytical skills with Excel or similar tools.
Effective cross-functional communicator.
Authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute commodity-specific sourcing strategies and cost-reduction initiatives.
Build knowledge of market trends, cost drivers, and supplier landscape.
Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance.
Lead or support RFQ/RFP processes and negotiate terms.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality on NPI and DFM with suppliers.
Contribute to commodity team projects and meet deadlines.
Track and report supplier metrics on quality, delivery, and cost.
