Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain/Procurement/Sourcing, Legal, Business, Administration or Engineering).
• 10+ years of gas and power experience.
• 5+ years of managing a team.
• Strong contract negotiation experience.
• Financial knowledge for cash-flow evaluation (IRR, NPV).
• Experience building strategic partnerships with suppliers.
• Experience procuring power plant/utility equipment and services.
• Knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership and related models.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Quickbase.

Aufgaben

• Lead gas-generation contracting efforts and negotiate strategic supply agreements.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships and a robust purchasing strategy.
• Establish best-in-class sourcing and procurement processes for new generation projects and major maintenance.
• Track technology trends and market forces to inform strategy.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Construction and Development to deliver equipment safely and timely.
• Review POs and contracts for policy conformance and resolve delivery issues.
• Define sourcing strategies with project teams, including alternative sources and cost avoidance.
• Foster internal and external partnerships to achieve AES goals.
