AES Corporation is seeking a Director of Strategic Sourcing - Gas and Power to lead gas and fuel cell equipment purchasing, develop strategy, and drive supplier contracting aligned with AES Renewables & Power. This role will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, cost-effective supply for project pipelines.

The ideal candidate has extensive gas and power experience, strong negotiation skills, and a proven ability to manage teams and complex procurement programs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• 10+ years of gas and power experience.
• 5+ years managing a team.
• Strong negotiation skills with contract experience.
• Financial knowledge for cash-flow evaluation (IRR, NPV).
• Experience in Total Cost of Ownership models.
• Proficient with MS Office and Quickbase.

Responsabilidades

• Lead gas-generation contracting and strategic supply agreements.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships and pricing strategies.
• Oversee procurement processes for new generation and major maintenance projects.
• Stay informed on technology trends and energy market forces.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and development teams.
• Review POs and contracts for policy conformance and resolve delivery issues.
• Define sourcing strategies across AES businesses.
• Foster partnerships to achieve sourcing and company goals.
