AES Corporation seeks a Director, Strategic Sourcing - Gas and Power to establish and lead gas and fuel cell equipment purchasing for AES Renewables & Power. This role reports to the VP of Strategic Sourcing and drives strategy, supplier contracts, and project support across AES projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in gas/power, strong negotiation skills, and experience in project cost analysis. Hybrid work with some travel is possible; based in the US with preference for Louisville, CO

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical or business field.
• Minimum 10 years of gas and power-related experience.
• 5+ years managing a team.
• Strong negotiations skills with contract negotiation experience.
• Financial knowledge for cash-flow evaluation (IRR, NPV).
• Proven ability to build consensus in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
• Well-developed supplier network and strategic partnerships.
• Experience sourcing/procuring power plant/utility equipment and services.

Aufgaben

• Lead gas-generation contracting efforts and develop strategic supply agreements.
• Cultivate relationships with equipment vendors and define buying strategy.
• Establish best-in-class sourcing processes for major projects and maintenance.
• Monitor technology trends, market forces, and supplier road maps.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Construction/Development to deliver equipment safely and on time.
• Review PO and contracts for policy conformance and address delivery issues.
• Define sourcing strategies across AES businesses, including alternate sources and cost avoidance.
• Foster internal and external partnerships to meet goals.
