Job summary

The University at Buffalo seeks a Buying / Sourcing Specialist to support strategic category initiatives, lead RFx activities, and translate sourcing outcomes into contracts within Jaggaer S2P. This role partners with internal and external stakeholders to plan, execute, and operationalize sourcing events, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education with 1 year of experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office products
• Basic knowledge of e-Procurement systems
• Strong written and oral communications

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end sourcing activities, including opportunity assessment and market research.
• Assist in RFx events (RFI, RFQ, RFP, IFB) in Jaggaer and coordinate communications.
• Support supplier evaluation by conducting pricing analyses and preparing award materials.
• Coordinate contract documentation, supplier data, pricing structures, and catalog setup within Jaggaer.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support sourcing execution and compliance.
