The Purchasing and Contract Services department at the University at Buffalo seeks a Buying / Sourcing Specialist to support and execute strategic initiatives in support of university-wide category strategies. The Buying / Sourcing Specialist partners closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan, execute, and operationalize sourcing events by leading RFx activities, conducting market and spend analysis, developing sourcing documentation, and translating sourcing outcomes into contract, supplier, and system readiness within UB’s Jaggaer Source‑to‑Pay environment. This role contributes directly to the advancement of strategic sourcing objectives by supporting supplier selection, pricing and contract structures, and post‑award implementation activities, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, SUNY, Research Foundation (RF), and university policies and regulations.
