Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Sr. Buyer for our Consumer Products Operations at the Savannah River Mill in Rincon, GA. Working under the Purchasing Manager, the Sr. Buyer manages purchasing activities in a high-volume, time-critical environment.

This is a mill onsite position located at Rincon, GA. The role involves issuing RFQs, analyzing quotes, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with safety and procurement policies to support capital projects and building upkeep.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing or a similar field.
• Experience negotiating contracts at local and regional levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders from requisitions using the purchasing system.
• Negotiate price and terms to achieve lowest total cost of ownership.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and purchasing policies.
• Coordinate with internal requestors to define specifications and timing.
