Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Buyer to join our procurement team and purchase materials, parts, supplies, and equipment for near-mine or in-mine facilities. You will help optimize price, delivery, and terms using established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include supplier research, RFQ issuance, PO processing, and coordinating with multiple departments to meet procurement needs critical to operations. Strong procurement knowledge and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with procurement concepts, policies, and processes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support purchasing strategy and policy execution; focus on cost-savings and metrics.
• Research new suppliers for cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Procure goods via sourcing agreements considering cost, quality, quantity, and warranties.
• Issue RFQs, compare pricing, and select suppliers.
• Process purchase orders and ensure timely service to user departments.
• Track orders and expedite as needed; monitor stock levels.
