Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a skilled Contracts Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. This role supports contracting and procurement across near-mine and in-mine facilities, evaluating, negotiating, and awarding contracts for diverse services.

The successful candidate will manage tenders, prepare contract documentation, and maintain contracts registers while ensuring compliance with policies and best practices. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of directly related contracting & procurement experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience purchasing Heavy Mining Equipment and Light Vehicles.
• Experience in RFQ/RFP development and contract negotiations.
• Experience using SAP Procurement and Ariba for sourcing and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, negotiate, and award contracts for goods and services per policy.
• Manage tenders, select providers, and support contract administration.
• Prepare documents to support contractual actions and recommendations.
• Maintain contracts register and ensure currency.
• Support sourcing strategy, cost savings, and performance metrics.
• Ensure timely bid evaluations, supplier negotiations, and contract approvals.
• Analyze responses for price reasonableness and competition.
• Serve as central contact for assigned procurements and vendor relationships.
• Monitor contractor compliance and progress reporting.
