Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Buyer at the Turquoise Ridge operation to manage commercial aspects of direct charge and warehouse stock supply while delivering ethical, efficient sourcing and cost-effective procurement support to user departments.

Responsibilities include supporting purchasing policy, negotiating supply agreements, expediting orders, and maintaining supplier information to ensure on-time delivery and optimal total cost of ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of directly related procurement experience required.
• Strong computer skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio required.
• Knowledge of Oracle, SAP, or equivalent enterprise software preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to perform arithmetical computations quickly and accurately.
• Clear and concise communication; able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement policies and systems.
• Procure goods with optimal cost, quality, and availability.
• Develop suppliers to meet commercial and operational needs.
• Acquire materials per requirements with best total cost of ownership.
• Engage internal customers to understand procurement needs.
• Manage contract administration, invoicing, and disputes.
• Coordinate with Inventory Control on expediting orders.
• Ensure timely, professional purchase order execution.
• Develop procurement plans and provide status reports.
• Ensure continuity of supply for all agreements.
