Job summary

CSS is seeking an Analyst - Sourcing to research and analyze marketplace data on vendors and suppliers, and to provide business recommendations that reduce total ownership costs for client operations. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contract elements, and lead sourcing strategies, including RFQs and price/lead-time optimization, while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration.

• Associates degree or college diploma required with Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of related work experience.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office.
• Experience with Purchasing and ERP systems (Citrix, MAPS, PassPort, E-max).
• Proven ability in contract negotiation and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Negotiates contract elements, including terms and conditions, pricing, and lead-time.
• Manages suppliers’ performance, including metrics development and monitoring.
• Negotiates expected supplier performance metrics and implements corrective action plans.
• Prepares, distributes and awards RFQ blankets and reviews expiring blankets for re-bid.
• Determines, loads and updates pricing and lead times in purchasing database.
• Drives suppliers to electronic and automated interface and analyzes spend and product mix for standardization opportunities.
• Serves as customer contact and alliance manager for supply chain issues.
• Develops and maintains knowledge of market drivers, trends, and supplier base.
• Analyzes material demand and determines inventory strategy to optimize ownership costs.
• Functions as team leader for supplier negotiations and category strategy development.
• Coordinates supplier strategies with sales engineer.
• Ensures commodity and inventory strategies align with customer initiatives.
