Job summary

Your Remote Assistant is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to support the Sourcing organization in executing end-to-end procurement projects. You will validate sourcing requests, analyze requirements, collaborate with stakeholders, publish contracts to suppliers, and help ensure robust supplier agreements.

The role emphasizes governance compliance, cross-functional collaboration in a global matrixed environment, and effective use of AI tools to optimize sourcing processes.

Qualifications

• Experience handling RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, competitive bidding, and supplier evaluation processes.
• Experience reviewing, negotiating, and managing vendor or supplier contracts.
• Familiarity with procurement policies, sourcing governance, contracting procedures, and purchasing guidelines.
• Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing supplier proposals, pricing, requirements, and contract terms.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and resolving vendor performance or contract-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate contracts of low to medium value and risk with vendors, adhering to sourcing governance.
• Support RFIs, RFPs, and scoring/evaluation engagements in coordination with the Strategic Sourcing Manager.
• Develop relationships with key Business Areas, including interviewing users to determine parameters of proposed transactions and/or improvements.
• Manage sourcing-related process and systems, including data entry, reporting, automation and enhancements.
• Coach Business Units on vendor management and support resolution of supplier performance issues.
• Utilize AI tools and resources in sourcing activities.
• Other procurement related data entry duties as assigned.

Job description

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will support the Sourcing organization in order to execute sourcing projects that range from simple to medium complexity, from start to finish, including but not limited to – sourcing request validation per client guidelines,
assisting with requirements analysis for competitive events, collaborating with client requesters to close any data gaps, prepare and publish the contract package to the identified suppliers, following up with suppliers to ensure adequate participation, and summarizing proposals back to the requestor, and working with the legal team to ensure a robust agreement that hold suppliers accountable for performance is executed. The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will be expected to understand and comply with the client’s contracting and purchasing guidelines, as well as be able to effectively work within a matrixed and global organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate contracts of low, to medium, value and risk with vendors, adhering to sourcing governance in order to achieve the best outcome for the client. As part of the process, will need to ensure strong communication with internal stakeholders as well as ongoing management of contracts and issues.
• Support, and as applicable will handle, Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and scoring/evaluation engagements in coordination with, and oversight by, the Strategic Sourcing Manager for the respective category and stakeholder groups.
• Develop relationships with key Business Areas, including interviewing users to determine parameters of proposed transactions and/or improvements.
• Manage sourcing-related process and systems, including required data entry, reporting, automation and enhancements.
• Coach Business Units on vendor management of their suppliers, and support resolution of supplier performance issues when appropriate.
• Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).
• Other procurement related data entry duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of professional experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or vendor management.
• Experience handling RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, competitive bidding, and supplier evaluation processes.
• Experience reviewing, negotiating, and managing vendor or supplier contracts.
• Familiarity with procurement policies, sourcing governance, contracting procedures, and purchasing guidelines.
• Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing supplier proposals, pricing, requirements, and contract terms.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and resolving vendor performance or contract-related issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly Excel, with experience in data entry, reporting, and process tracking.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Experience working in a global, cross-functional, or matrixed organization is an advantage.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with generative AI tools and other technology used to improve sourcing and procurement processes is an advantage.
