Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to support cross-functional sourcing efforts, including RFx processes, data analysis, and spend reporting. The role partners with category managers to drive cost savings and improve procurement processes.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, strong SAP and Power BI/Excel skills, and excellent communication. Travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support RFx processes; assist with requirements and vendor selection.
• Analyze bids, create spend reports, and inform procurement decisions.
• Conduct market research and benchmark suppliers for RFx activities.
• Prepare post-bid analyses and cost breakdowns; assist in negotiations.
• Generate regular spend reports by category for leadership.
