Job summary

Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Sourcing Analyst to support manufacturing operations through effective sourcing, procurement, and supplier management. This role ensures material availability while optimizing cost and inventory across assigned commodities.

The analyst leverages SAP/MRP systems and partners cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement, cost reductions, and supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain analysis within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with SAP and MRP-based systems.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement lifecycle from sourcing to PO and delivery expediting.
• Use SAP/MRP to analyze demand, inventory levels, and stock status to support production.
• Establish inventory parameters such as safety stock, reorder points, and lead times.
• Ensure continuous material flow to support production while minimizing excess inventory.
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, and delivery.
• Identify and resolve supplier issues including late deliveries and price discrepancies.
• Support supplier development and improvement initiatives for long-term partnerships.
• Drive year-over-year cost reduction through negotiations and sourcing strategies.
• Analyze spend, lead times, and usage for cost savings opportunities.
• Support total cost of ownership initiatives including logistics and payment terms.
• Track metrics like inventory turns, on-time delivery, and past-due POs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, planning, and finance.
• Support NPI and engineering changes by ensuring supplier readiness.
• Participate in supplier qualification and component sourcing decisions.
• Align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
