Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a Manager, Solutions Engineering to support strategic merchants across the sales, solutioning, integration, and go-live lifecycle. This is an individual contributor role focused on Checkout.com's top 500 accounts and opportunities in the United States.

You will combine technical depth, commercial judgment, and strong customer engagement skills to understand complex requirements and translate them into practical Checkout.com solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Solutions Architecture.
• Experience supporting complex B2B technology, SaaS, fintech, payments, or e‑commerce customers.
• Strong understanding of API-based integrations (REST/JSON, webhooks, logs, responses) and tools like Postman.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales and Account Management on top opportunities, shaping technical engagement plans.
• Lead technical discovery, solution design, product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, workshops, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Checkout.com solutions using APIs, products, and integration patterns.
• Advise customers and internal teams on payment flows, fraud prevention, tokenization, 3DS, and related topics.
• Support RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, architecture discussions, and technical evaluations.
• Maintain technical ownership from discovery through go-live, coordinating with multiple teams to remove blockers.
• Turn feedback into product and documentation improvements, and create reusable technical assets.
• Build trusted relationships and clearly communicate trade-offs, risks, and recommendations.
