Job summary

Red Hat in New York is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our sales team and service New York territory accounts. You will act as a trusted adviser, building lasting relationships and delivering value-driven architectures that align business needs with Red Hat solutions.

You will collaborate with sales and delivery teams to showcase Red Hat’s suite including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ansible Automation Platform, OpenShift, and AI tools, in both traditional and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Experience as a consultant or sales engineer or similar role is required.
• Deep experience with multiple Red Hat product verticals or competitive products.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to interpret customer business and technical needs.
• Excellent presentation skills are required.
• Ability to present to mixed business, technical, management and leadership audiences.
• Proven track record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial and executive levels in large enterprise IT.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Experience with cloud-native implementation challenges and cultural considerations.

Responsibilities

• Become a trusted adviser within Red Hat's customer base.
• Build solid, lasting relationships with customers and provide pre-sales technical support for development and implementation of complex solutions.
• Gain deep understanding of customer business and IT environments and collaborate with sales teams to assess application of Red Hat solutions.
• Present complex solutions to potential customers and design value-driven architectures, explaining business value of Red Hat solutions.
• Understand current technology and industry trends and connect them to customer value and Red Hat offerings.
