Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet - FII is seeking an Engineering Manager (bilingual Mandarin) in San Jose, CA. The role leads the SMT engineering team, drives NPI for SMT lines, and partners across Quality, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure high yield and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in SMT process/manufacturing engineering, at least 3 years in a supervisory role, and strong knowledge of SMT equipment and IPC/ISO standards. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years SMT process/manufacturing engineering experience.
• 3+ years supervisory/management experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong SMT equipment knowledge; experience with NPI, DFM, Lean Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the SMT engineering team to meet department goals.
• Oversee day-to-day SMT production engineering activities with emphasis on stability and yield.
• Manage SMT equipment optimization including printers, placement, reflow, and AOI.
• Drive continuous improvement through SPC, OEE, and defect prevention.
• Lead NPI for SMT lines and ensure smooth production transition.
• Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Supply Chain to resolve process issues.
• Define SMT process standards, docs, and maintenance plans.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with ESD, IPC, and ISO standards.
