Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Strategic Site Partner to drive partnerships with investigative sites and optimize execution of AbbVie’s clinical trial portfolio. The role emphasizes relationship management, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration across AbbVie and external sites.

The SSP will engage internal leaders to align AbbVie’s objectives with site capabilities, manage operational risks, and support efficient trial delivery while maintaining AbbVie’s reputation as a Partner of Choice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree required in health care or scientific field.
• Minimum of 10 years applicable work experience in clinical research with leadership competencies.
• Broad understanding of global pharmaceutical/biotech industries with drug development knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to influence without authority and build relationships across locations.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking for complex issue solving.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–20% for on-site partner engagements.

Responsibilities

• Develop site-specific engagement strategy for assigned sites.
• Manage relationships with investigative sites with a white-glove service approach.
• Proactively anticipate sites' needs and drive mitigation strategies.
• Resolve complex operational issues with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Drive efficiencies and accelerate clinical trial execution across studies.
• Oversee performance metrics and KPIs across studies and sites.
• Forecast studies and coordinate with AbbVie stakeholders for resource planning.
