Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Clinical Research Site Engagement Specialist to advance our clinical trial portfolio by partnering with investigators and site staff. You will drive site engagement strategies, ensure protocol compliance, and optimize data integrity and patient recruitment while maintaining high standards of safety and regulatory compliance.

The role focuses on effective site interactions, training, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver trials on time.

Qualifications

• Appropriate tertiary qualification in health related disciplines (Medical, Scientific, Nursing) preferred or experience or equivalent work experience.
• Clinically related experience, preferably in clinical research coordinating or data management.
• Knowledge of therapeutic area indications and ability to apply scientific concepts to trials.
• Knowledge on regulatory requirements, ICH/GCP guidelines and applicable policies.
• Ability to work collaboratively cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to leverage technology and CRM tools to support site engagement.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for site relationships.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for investigative sites, providing contextual information on trials and strengthening AbbVie's positioning.
• Aligns and trains site staff and investigators on trial goals, protocol, and patient treatment principles.
• Conducts site evaluation, training, monitoring activities per protocol and regulatory requirements.
• Develops site engagement strategy and uses CRM tools to report progress and impact.
• Ensures recruitment and retention strategies based on patient journeys and trial requirements.
• Monitors site activities with Central Monitoring to detect performance and safety issues.
• Implements corrective actions to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
• Identifies potential investigators/sites and supports with experienced CRAs.
• Ensures quality of site data submission and timely safety reporting.
• Prepares for audits and regulatory inspections at sites; manages investigator payments.
