Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense in Wilsonville, Oregon seeks an experienced Operations Lead to drive end-to-end site leadership across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, planning, logistics, and NPI. You will own site performance including cost, delivery, and quality, leading a large cross-functional team to scale operations to meet demand.

The role emphasizes Lean/TPS-based improvements, risk management, and budget ownership, with a focus on growth, safety, and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of experience in operations leadership within manufacturing, defense, or aerospace environments.
• Proven experience leading multi-functional teams across operations.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and TPS methodologies.
• Experience managing NPI, supply chain risk, and scaling production from development to full manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of site operational performance, including revenue execution, margin, cost control, and production throughput.
• Direct leadership of cross-functional teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Facilities, and Production Planning.
• Lead enterprise-wide risk management and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles.
• Align production and build plans with CRM demand forecasts and SIOP processes.
• Oversee Facilities Management, Safety & Security, and Facility Security Officer functions; serve as EHSO and lead Business Operations initiatives.
• Own site budgeting and capital planning.
• Advance business tools and processes, including AI-driven operational improvements.
• Lead workforce planning and organizational development to support growth and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, export controls, and corporate policies.
