Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a SEC Reporting Manager to own the company’s SEC reporting process in Park Ridge, IL, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX and coordinating with auditors and leadership.

You will prepare 10-Q/10-K/8-K, manage XBRL tagging, analyze new accounting standards, assist with earnings releases, and drive improvements in internal controls and reporting processes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in SEC reporting or financial reporting for a public company.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance.
• Experience with XBRL and SEC filing tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy statements).
• Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, US GAAP, and SOX requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors during quarterly and annual cycles.
• Maintain and update XBRL tagging for SEC filings.
• Research and analyze new accounting standards and regulatory changes.
• Assist with earnings releases, investor presentations, and other disclosures.
• Support internal controls and process improvements related to financial reporting.
