Job summary

Fortune Fish & Gourmet in Union, NJ, seeks a Sales Consultant to build profitable customer relationships, drive revenue, and promote premium seafood and gourmet products. You will collaborate with chefs, restaurateurs, and retailers to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional service.

Responsibilities include developing strategic sales plans, expanding accounts, and coordinating with product, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely deliveries and high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years outside sales in perishable food products; seafood experience preferred.
• 2–5 years professional sales in foodservice, or 5–7 years chef/restaurant management.
• Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts preferred or 3+ years industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate new business opportunities via networking and consultative sales.
• Manage and expand existing accounts, building trust with customized product solutions.
• Collaborate with chefs, restaurateurs, and stakeholders to meet business goals.
• Represent premium seafood, meats, poultry, and gourmet products to customers.
• Develop strategic sales plans and organize daily activity for timely follow-ups.
• Coordinate with Product, Purchasing and Operations to align inventory with demand.
• Work with Accounting to establish credit terms and required documentation.
• Prepare compelling proposals and maintain detailed sales records.
