Job summary

GrayMatter Robotics, a Los Angeles-based Physical AI company, seeks an enthusiastic Strategic Sales Development Representative to help build and scale outbound sales. You will develop product understanding, engage prospects, and drive meetings for Account Executives, while embracing AI-enabled outreach and in-person events to grow market presence.

Qualifications

• Evidence of persuasion and outreach skill from any arena: launching a brand, fundraising, or campus organizing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to craft a compelling message on phone or email.
• 6+ months of experience solving ambiguous problems with limited context.
• Experience using structured feedback (call coaching, pitch reviews) to improve performance.
• Experience in fast-paced or high-growth environments with changing priorities.
• Strong time management and collaboration to move deals forward.
• Resilience and a results-focused mindset with ability to handle rejection.
• Fast learner who absorbs new information quickly and applies feedback.
• Must secure US work authorization at hire and maintain it throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep product understanding and map it to varied manufacturing processes.
• Engage prospects consultatively, aligning objectives with GMR solutions.
• Build multi-channel outreach (cold calls, email, social) using AI-enabled tools.
• Emphasize in-person selling at tradeshows, conferences, and events.
• Book demos for the sales team and maintain accurate prospect records.
• Communicate customer problems and goals clearly to Account Executives.
• Provide feedback on lead quality, market conditions, and campaign effectiveness.
